Best Printing Process For Dark Ink On Dark Shirts I recently began commissioning designs for an MMA based lifestyle apparel company. I have quite a few designs at this point and have already chosen the shirts I'll be printing on, the challenge I believe we'll run into is the printing. We have decided to use strictly black, white, and gray ink on black, white and gray vintage look t shirts purchased from Alternative Apparel. The Since the designs are going to be done in that style, what is the best method of printing the dark color inks on the dark color shirts so that they are visible? Is the discharge printing process the best route to go with this in mind? Is it even possible? Also I had wanted to know, since we want the apparel to look vintage, is it better to use standard t shirts, have them printed and then do a vintage wash on them or purchase the t shirts pre-washed and then print? and wont this look funny if the shirt looks old and the print is new? |
