Default PVC Free Phthalate Free

Hi... Someone asked me what is used as a replacement for PVC and Phthalate in PVC Free and Phthalate Free inks. I had to admit I didn't know. So can anyone fill me in as to what is used in these inks, and how do we know they are any more friendly than what they replace? Thanks.

Thanks... anyone know what is used instead of the phthalate as well? Do we know if the acrylic resins and whatever replaces the phthalate are any more eco friendly?

Phtalates used to stabilise pvc, so if paste based on acrylic resins (not pvc) it is not necessary to stabilise it and here are no phtalates or you can detect only small quantities that are not prohibited
