Just finished my first large order of 2000 shirts. It feels great!
I'm using a manual 6/6 hix press. I've been printing for almost a year. Most of the orders I get are one maybe two color shirts with orders around 30 to 50 shirts. So this order was great, stressful and exciting.
The print was a two color front (Hot pint and black) (I've had dreams with black and pink backgrounds for the last two weeks now.) and the back was one color (black).
This job helped me understand my strokes, my press and how to work faster.

don't forget the ibuprofene! Congrats! The money feels good, a job well done feels good and you know what else will feel good...when meeting w/ potential clients you will name drop this client with something like, "well, when we print the 2000 shirts that so and so occasionally needs...."
congrats i can only imagine 2000shirts. How long did it take you.
It took about 12 days. Total of about 50 hours. Mostly working by myself. (loading, printing,unloading and folding.) I had some help at times. But had fewer misprints when doing it myself.
It took about 2 and a half quarts of pink (with extender) and less than two quarts of black. The print size was as big as A4 size paper (8" X 11")

man thats good you had time to do it i had to do 600 shirts and had 2 1/2 days to do it with no conveyer dryer only had a flash dryer and it needed two passes up 2 days straight. wrist were killing me.i can only image how yours were felling.

Yeah!! My hands were hurting. Not only that, I'm a drummer too and had a show in the middle of all this. My band wanted to shoot me!! I could hardly hold my drum sticks.
I made sure the customer gave me enough time to finish. I work right up to the deadline.
