Default Printing on burnout tees

Has anyone tried printing on Alternative Apparel burnout tees?
I'm about to print something very complicated on some and I'm concerned about the results since the fabric is so thin.

I've printed 1 and 2 color designs on them and they work well, but you do need to know (or make a customer know) how it is going to act.

where the cotton has *burned out* is a looser weave of the polyester that remains. so the print is *lighter* where these burned out areas are. But it is a look that is consistent with the shirt's fabric.

hope that makes sense.

Yup, that makes sense. In fact, that's a good thing. We're trying to make the print look a little rough and worn to begin with.

On a black shirt, would it be a bad thing to have an underlay white? It seems to me that it would make the print really heavy on such a soft and thin shirt. Again, having the colors a little faded and showing the shirt color through is our main goal. I'm just curious.

I would agree to try to avoid undercoats any unnecessary building up of ink *layers* on those garments.
