Default Very frusturated and I haven't even started printing yet - incomplete kit

So I finally decided to order a very basic kit to get my feet wet. I oredered it to be sure I got it for this weekend. Well guess what, it came!...and so did my shirts! It was like getting a raise AND a company car all on the same day!!!

Well when I opened the box for the starter kit I ordered, everything was there...except the press. So I call the company and they act like they have to do all of this checking and investigation even though the phone representive confirmed tthat it was not on the packing slip and certainly is on the website.

My little boy is gonna be crushed. He was looking forward to getting home from school today and learning to print shirts with me.

End of rant.
(I feel a little better now thanks for listening.)

Well dont get dissapointed just yet as you have plenty to do before printing. Looks like you have a screen to coat with emulsion. A screen to burn (expose). A design to create etc.

If you can get that all done before the press arrives no worries. Tape one or two stacked pennies on each corner of you exposed screen, slip a cutting board, piece of glass or any flat surface larger than your screen into the shirt and....print to your hearts delight.

This kit also does not have an exposure unit for developing your screens. Do you already have one of those?

Hopefully you will get everything you need and get started. That is why I want a cutter I don't want to have to deal with chemicals at all.

DON'T PANIC.

That vendor has more than one location they ship from. I've purchased from them before and it has taken up to a week between the first item to arrive and the last.

The same thing happened to me. I purchased a kit from them and they called me to let me know the scoop coater was on back order. I received it a few days later.

Things could have been worse i ordered the semi pro kit and had a job lined up to be printed during the week end i recieved everything so i thought. when i got everything out my flash dryer was not there they said it got shiipped from somewhere else and that i would get it on tue, which was to late for me. so here i am driving around town to find a heat gun for 75 shirts which was horrible. so atleast you are not as stressed as i was that day just dissapointed. good luck have fun with your son when you recieve your press.

Yes, I grabbed a light from the hardware store today...before the UPS guy got here.

Thanks for all the advice and warm words. The first customer service lady apparently did not know that they ship the presses from a different location, otherwise she would have said so instead of giving me such vague answers.

I asked again online and was told that it had not left the wharehouse yet and that the factory may just be very busy. She said she would be sure it was shipped out today which restored my confidence in them.

Sorry for the rant. This is the only place I could go to complain where someone would understand what I was talking about. My neighbor had no idea what I was upset about. I told her my dilema and how I was missing the printing press. She said I could borrow her printer if I put my file on a "floppy"...yes, a "floppy".

Have a great weekend all!
