Default Halftones with discharge printing?

Can halftone patterns be made using plastisol discharge printing? I received an email from a guy thats wants an all-over print with a white and red halftone design on a black Anvil shirt. I wasn't sure if discharge printing worked well using halftones.

It would depend on the size of your dots and you can not use a real high mesh with discharge. Call your ink manufacturer and ask them or get the PIB sheet.

I just did a discharge job where I used yellow pigmented discharge under the whole fill area and printed an orange halftone fade with regular waterbase ink on top of it. It worked pretty well if I did a quick flash of the yellow first. Yellow discharge screen was 140 mesh and the orange was on a 175 mesh. The shirts we used were black and charcoal american apperal and gildan.
