not sure if this is what you mean or not.. but myself and many users here have roland versacamms.. they print and cut..
we make alot of stickers..
You can check it out at rolanddga.com or many sign supply shops have the machines..
these machines are not cheap.. but they are real money makers with the right marketing..
you can make signs, sticker, banners, and t-shirts .. and more..
do a search on the forum here for versacamm that will also show you many here that are using it..
if you are talking about window decals then you are talking about cut vinyl and you would need a cutter for that purpose and you would create your design using your computer then cut it out on your cutter and then weed out and voila
If your cutting single color "STICKERS"...then the GX24 is perfect...but IF your "PRINTING" then contour "CUTTING" decals for full color a Versacamm is the only way to fly...I tried using a printer and a GX24....was too much work for not enough $$$$....so we bought the VP-540...and MistySue is right...right marketing and this machine is running almost 24/7 with lil labor....and it can do garments to vehicle wraps....wise money spent for a shop headed towards the future!

After being a screenprinter for more than 15 years, we now print and cut our stickers on the Roland Versacamm. If the customers wants to pay a little more we finish the printjob with a liquid laminate to give more UV-protection to the print.
The Roland does the job!
Here in Belgium the Roland is the nr.1.

I've been looking for a good liguid laminate, which one do you use?
I use clear shield.. and have been for a couple years..
you get the one that is water based for eco solvent inks..
Its great for both stickers (we use it on stickers that will be exposed to things like gas or even lots of sun) and banners.. Not only does it protect your product.. it really makes the colors pop..
our banners go for more than our competators and i think that the coating has alot to do with that..

Hi Susan
I've painted in the past so I have a tendencing to want to spray things on.
Do I need to get over that and go with clear shield?
It only comes in quarts and gallons (I believe?) so how can I apply it for that perfectly smooth proffesional look?
I have heard of people using sprayers with it.. but not sure how that works.
we use dense foam rollers and roll it on.. ya roll it on thick not over working it..
There is quite a bit of info over at signs101.com forum.. if you go there do a search.
the main thing is clean room and not over working the stuff.. it smooths out as it drys..

Thank you,
#1 Thick
#2 Don't over work it
I've been on a lot of vendor sites this last month and I don't remember seeing a thick foam roller for sale.
In my mind, I have a picture of a thick foam roller but I wonder how close my imagination is..... lol
Where can I go to buy one? I'm sure there's all kinds of shapes and sizes out there.
lol.. not a thick foam roller a dense one.. (meaning the holes are little to allow less bubbles) we get ours at osh but they have them at any store like home depot.. etc..
they are about 4 inches long and about mabe 2 inchs around or so..
also another hint to not get bubbles is to pour the clear shield thur a paint strainer before rolling it on..
we get them from sign-mart.
also show around there is a big differance in prices for clear shield at differant sign suppliers.
