That's a sweet press. I've got a 6 color Javelin auto but hope to get a 12 color M&R next year. I am so happy I don't have to print manually everyday. I'm sure your gonna love yours. Will your dryer keep up with it or is that the next upgrade? We recently got an M&R mini sprint gas dryer and love it. M&R makes good stuff.
Besides A Flash What Other Equipment Did You Have To Buy To Run The Press. Ive Heard Of Compressors, Chillers, Etc. Not Sure If You Need Them For This Machine Or Not. If You Dont Mind Me Asking What Does Something Like That Run Price Wise
Got to get a new dryer. We had to purchase a 7.5hp compressor, air chiller. I brought 24-23x31 screens.
We had to do electric, wiring, rent a forklift, rent a hammer drill, do plumbing, anchor bolts to concrete....
It is A LOT of work to get something like this in your shop.
Total cost of equipment about 30 grand. Add another 3k for misc and set up. Add another 4000-10000 for a big dryer.
That pricing sounds about right but I think your a little low on dryer price. If your really going to move a lot of shirts through a dryer you need a good long dryer. Our new M&R mini sprint just barely keeps up if both our manual and auto press is running. I'll probably have to add on a heat section or two when we get our bigger auto. A good gas dryer will run approx $17,000 - $25,000.
any good advice on buying an automatic. what should i look for. what do people hate and like about there autos. just asking because i plan on upgraded someday, and i don't want to make the same mistake i made on my manual. i didnt ask enough questions.
is there autos that hold registratiuon better than others, or do they all hold registration nice and tight. thats one of my biggest reasons on buying one, besides the speed.
A guy was selling a 20 footer Gas dryer up here, and he couldn't sell it. Kept getting lower and lower, last I saw he just wanted to get it outta the shop. 1000$ I think.
There is a lot of difference in quality between dryers. Our M&R stays within 1 degree of the temp it's set for all day long. Most of the other dryers I've used you really had to keep an eye on. Our old harco dryer would drop 30 or 40 degrees in a heartbeat. You get what you pay for I think.
my anatol mariha1 gas dryer never moves off the set temp, not even 1 degree. sometimes i check to make sure the display is on "actual temp" not "set temp". i think it uses a fuzzy logic chip to learn how to heat with zero tolerances. i've used the same size M&R dryer and it worked very well too. the anatol is much sexer, and well it's red. viva la rosa! no hand stan, the water base man.
