Default Corel draw color seperation???

I have a 4 color design in corel draw. Can I leave the colors in CYMK on comp screen for printing and do the color sep. in the print opts area with CYMK then send to rip. Or do i need to save the separate images in black and then send to rip software. My rip control is set to print in black & white and grayscale. If the image is sent out in color but broke down in rip does it effect the print out on the film?
