hello

I have been using plastisol inks on tshirts for about a year now. My girlfriend is coming home with these beautiful shirts that feel so soft that it feels like the tshirt fabric is dyed. I was told that using discharge inks is used to accomplish this soft feel. I purchased white premixed discharge ink from Matsui and was told to mix 10% agent to the ink. I did on a scale, and squeeged on black american apparel tshirts. It still comes out very thick. Feels to the touch like i am still using plastisol. can some one help me figure out what i might be doing wrong, or how to accomplish a very light, thinner feel on the shirt.

sorry i don't know much about the discharge stuff yet, but to point you in the right direction, i'd suggest contacting your supplier, or matsui directly, to ask questions about the application of their product. i'm sure they'd be more than happy to troubleshoot with you. good luck...

Unfortunately, that's the nature of white discharge. It's not going to be as soft, especially initially after printing. Run the shirt through the wash though and it will soften.

You will only have that problem with white.
