I have seen several posts on here from people that are planning on attempting all over prints with an over sized pallet. My question is - do you have a dryer with a wide enough belt to dry them flat? If not, how do you plan to cure them? And up to what size t-shirt will you be printing?
Dude I feel you on that ive encountered the same problem and that is why i have to refuse all over print. but i eventually plan on getting a big enuff dryer....
I use my 16X16 flash dryer on 4 quadrants of the shirt and then run the upper half of the shirt through my belt dryer, then flip the shirt pver and run the lower half of the shirt through the conveyor dryer one last time...time consuming, but i know the ink is cured!
thats exactly how i was going to do it with a 1 color press i have the screen that i recovered from a company that screen printed banners these screens were in good shape all i had to do is reclaim them but as of right now i have them just sitting here because i dont have a big enuff dryer to cure the prints. what would you say is a big enuff dryer?
I currently print 16" x 22" and have an 18 x 24 flash. Covers the entire front up to a M, minus the sleeves of course. I am thinking about getting a much wider dryer, but I am in a storefront with standard size doors, and don't know how I would get anything much larger in through the door.. My lease is up in 6 months..
I would like to step up to do all over up to XL or maybe XX. Any more suggestions?
And Thanks Samko - I might give that a try in the mean time...
I am cutting a platen to the shape of a shirt tomorrow. It will be able to print 36" from sleeve to sleeve, 20" across the chest, and 40"+ long. I'm breaking out the jigsaw tomorrow and seeing what I can come up with.
