I want to screen print my labels on my shirts but I have heard some people say that you can see the label though the shirt which look dumb and i agree. I was woundering if light colored waterbased inks would solve this problem??
Re: using waterbased inks for screen printed labels?
I havent noticed this problem, I have a few store bought shirts that have a printed label, if the shirt is heavy enough and good quality with a well matched ink colour you cant see anything through the shirt. I actually plan on using this method as I for one hate tags on shirts, pet peeve of mine for sure.
Re: using waterbased inks for screen printed labels?
I have seen it, especially on lighter weight shirts. I use waterbased ink for my labels, but not for the see-through issue. I always use a 6 oz or heavier shirt and have never had issues.

It's going to depend on the shirts you use and probably the type of press you are using. We use the thicker 6oz 100 cotton shirts AND we use a super small screen layed directly on the shirt as opposed to using our regular shirt press. This way less pressure is applied to the print than if it was on a larger press.
