Hello, I am using speedball textile inks, and want to print double sided t-shirts. I will be using the oven baking method of curing my shirts. My question is should I print one side, bake it, then print the other and bake it. Or am I able to print both sides then bake it? What process do I need to use to bake it, i.e. is there any seperation issues I should be concerned with?
You could print both sides, then bake. I would bake one side then flip the shirt to the other side. May not be necessary, but at least you are sure both sides are getting the heat and air circulation. It's usually ok if the shirt is a little accidentally overbaked as long as you don't scorch it.
I don't really know but I would think that you would have to at least flash cure the ink on one side first, but I guess I don't know enough about speedball inks. If it is a small job and time wasn't a factor I think I would cure one side at a time.

speedball is a water based ink, so by the time it's placed in the oven it would already be dry to the touch.
If you have a flash dryer, then the oven would not be necessary.
The best method to curing speedball is with a heat press.
