just ordered 2 black 3X fruit of the loom 7.5oz 50/50 hoodies. I printed a white chest piece on them with a 10 second flash on high before the 2nd coat of white. everything seemed fine so i ran it through the drier to cure at 400 deg for 50 sec. Everything still looked fine. when the customer got them he says they are too small, "maybe a large" he said. was the drier to hot? was it to long? was it the wrong tag on a large? my guess is it shrank in the drier but i need to know before the replacements come in and i make the same mistake on them! any help or info would be great. thank you.

Probably a case of the FOL running a little smaller than what he's used to wearing. It happens. 50/50 shouldn't shrink much in a wash/dry cycle and even a dry 100% cotton garment shouldn't shrink in the tunnel drier.

What type of ink? Plastisol I would guess. If yes you might be flashing too long. Also 400 degrees is way too hot. You would only need the ink to reach 320 and then it is cured. But I don not think that a 50/50 would shrink much at all.

so the drier probably didn't make it shrink? good, ok than does anyone know of similar hoodies i can get for a good price that maybe runs a little bigger or at least a full 3X? these were fruit of the loom 16130 at jiffyshirts for $10.66. Better price? or maybe a little heavier?

We buy Gildans about 90% and shop for price. We usually buy from either Alpha, San Mara, Broderick & Rhodes, or TSC. Sometimes a place is 20% higher than other competitors. Plus if you have to factor in shipping.
