Re: Conveyer dryer doesn't reach curing temp I'd let the unit heat up for 30 minutes first, then try running the thermometer through, although I'm not sure how accurate a cooking thermometer is going to be. You'd be better off getting a non-contact infrared thermometer, then after letting the dryer heat up, run an old printed shirt through and check the temperature of the ink as it's approaching the exit opening of the tunnel. If there are doors available to lower, lower them as much as you can without catching a shirt to help keep heat in the dryer. Raise the temperature control to it's max and slow the belt down, and finally, make sure you've got 220 volts getting to the dryer. I moved into a house once and my old man got an electrician to install a new outlet for the stove. It was wired to two 110 breakers, which was fine, but they were on the same leg of the power coming into the house. The stove would only get warm. I got pissed and while it would've taken me about 2 minutes to move the breakers to a position in the box to get 220, I made the electrician come out and do it because he got paid to do the job right. |
