Default Discharge Printing

Besides the basic set up to print water based shirts, what are the necessary tools to print discharge, is it just the difference in ink? Im trying to get the soft feel using light colors on dark shirts.

Thanks!

You need a good gas dryer to do it correctly. We have an M&R Sprint dryer with an 18' chamber and we slow the belt down and run them through it at least twice to fully cure the shirt.

You could also do onlt a discharge underlay and print plastisol using fashion soft that simulates water based feel using plastisol. We do that if the PMS color is important. When using discharge NEVER gaurentee PMS matching of colors.

I use Matsui waterbased discharge with a 10' 3panel-IR HIX oven and they discharge great, even large prints, going through slowly one time.
The main difference is just the ink. It can be quirky.
