Need to Register?

My printer (its one of them fandangled epson all-in-one printers.. (i cant afford an R-1800 yet so dont even bring that model # up :P)..

I go to print my design.. it runs the plastic sheet through and says "Printer out of paper."

Anyone have any Ideas?

What kind of printer? Laser or Ink Jet? Are you sure your settings on the printer itself are correct for printing on that material?

Its an epson CX series.. It's an inkjet.. it should.. It's a photo printer..

The next part of this post is irrelavant to the problem.. but..

I put it on "photo paper" , "best picture" and "use black ink ONLY."

And it still did this..

try to put 3 or 4 pcs of paper, or more... then, see what happen... if the printer just go through all the paper.. i think the problem must be the printer...

Tape a piece of paper and your film together and try that.

Haha! I did that for my very first print. I went to Office Depot and had them print out like 15 transparencies and taped them all together. Those were the days!

Wow..
I just use 2 taped together.

Every now and then, if im not after really fine detail and dont mind the edges blurring a little, ill just print on the same film 2 or 3 times :P

Is there a second way to feed the paper through or just the paper tray?

I've finagled hp all-in-ones to print film by feeding it through the back half dissassembled.

Is it just getting stuck? Will it work if you feed through a piece of paper? Is the film too thick?

I have an epson multi printer never tried plastic sorry but it sure does Transfer paper well if I am doing numbers or letter i just cut round anf heat press on what kind of effect are you looking for?

Heck with it.. I'll just wait a couple weeks till the credit card billing starts for the next month, hold off on getting shocks for my car.. and just get an r1800. I'm tired of dealing with the BS of this stupid printer.

go to it lol i felt that way but went to a laser printer and not looked back =) they r sooo much faster, but not sure if they will do what u want as i just print T/P =) gl

I'm not sure if Epson still has any, but for a while they had Refurbished R1800 printers on their website for about $100.00 less than new. And it has free shipping.

I don't think it comes with any of the free sample photo paper stuff that a new one does, but I'd rather the $100.00 in my pocket than some free printer paper I'm not going to use.
