Default Is screen printing right for me?

Hi there,

Im new to the whole T-Shirt production,

I like to design and i want to create my own clothing label, I have bought a few blank tees and cut out the tags and such, but the problem i face now is putting the designs onto the tee's because i have ordered some transfer paper, but I dont know if the quality will quite cut it, so i looked at screen printing, but my designs use ALOT of different colours and such and I would like to either screen print my self and learn how to do it or get a company too, but upon researching it's pretty expensive from what I can see.

Do you guys reccomend any other methods I can do myself? Or should I just learn how to screen print and it will be cheaper for me?

Thanks

silkscreening multi color designs takes a LOT of practice. I think it is best to start off with 1 color screening then once you get the hang of it, move up to multi color.

If you already have a heat press, you may want to look into plastisol transfers. Have them do your multi color designs while you learn with 1 color.

Eventually, doing your own will be the most cost effective. But just starting out I wouldn't try to tackle multi color screening for retail sale.

Only you have the answer to that question...if you are not dedicated, if you are not willing to cry and sweat and work until 4am, it will take a very long time without guidance.
