Default newbie ink question.

Another newbie question. Will waterbased inks be the best choice to start with just to practice on some tshirts? Or something thicker be better? Also can you practice on paper/cardboard(cheaper route) or does it have to be on fabric to see how good you are actually doing? Thanks for the help.

Cool Re: newbie ink question.

Since i'm not getting any answers on this i guess i'll go with the waterbased ink to play with. I am guessing it doesnt matter what u start with as long as u practice.

I think you need to decide whether you will be using waterbase or plastisol inks. I personally would use plastisol, and get an old sheet from Goodwill, any kind of material similar to a t-shirt. You probably won't need as much practice as you think. - Good luck!!

Thanks for the info. Never thought of using an old sheet. I will give it a try.
