Default technique help?

hey guys,

got my screens all done etc and now I'm working toward getting a consistent printing result.

Here are my issues, beyond those that can be helped here

OK, I don't have a swing arm or anything yet but heres the setup

plywood table, shirt / test piece is spray adhered to surface,

screen on shirt. 2 x 20c pieces under each corner of frame for height adjustment,

clamped to table on right side and bottom,

weight on other 2 sides,

heres the go

I can get a pretty decent print as long as I only do one pass. (i used a paint scraper to make sure the surface was covered first (when i use thicker inks IE white). one pass and its fine,

where as my issue is when I need to do a 2nd pass, problem is everything seems to move, (that's my theory) since the design comes out doubled, ie screen moves), sometimes I also get a blur around what are supposed to be sharp edges, with more then one pass, (if the frame miraculously doesn't move)

what would you guys suggest without having to run out and buy a swing arm?

cheers
six

there are basic table clamps you can buy for this. check it:

Hinged Clamp

found after a quick search. 22 bucks-ish. you'll def. need something like this to hold registration for your second pass. i don't know how well they work but i imagine it's probably worth the investment. there are other posters around who use this type of setup and i haven't heard anything negative about it's functionality.
