so it's bleeding through onto your platten?

It happends. Is the ink bleeding that much when you print on a regular t-shirt?

I have found that when you squeegee on test squares, you cant squeegee as many passes as you would on a shirt. Depending where you buy your test squares, some are thicker than others. One company sells rolls of t shirt type material that you can cut off what you need and use that as test squares. I have used clearance material from walmart in white before as test squares when i needed some in a hurry and was out. I have also used white butcher paper and it worked fine. you can even flash that and it will not burn the paper.
