Some waterbased inks can be cured with a heat press. However, you can't heat press plastisol inks. Plastisol stays wet until heat cured with a dryer and if you tried to use a heat press the ink would smear.

If you flash it first, you can cure it on a heat press. It works fine.

Ross,

I use a flash dryer to cure my plastisol prints. What would be the advantage of first flashing it, then heat pressing instead of letting the flash dryer do the entire cure?

I think I get a better more even cure with the press. It also presses the ink into the fabric and makes a softer hand.

350 for 8 seconds with a teflon cover sheet. I use the same time and temp that I use to press plastisol transfers.
