Default film positives from inkjet for screen printing

Hello,

I am a prepress manager, but litho guy. My company bought a large silk screen operation that does billboard sized POP displays. We are trying to make film positives on our inkjets while the luscher jetscreen is down. I am looking for input and direction and was hoping top do this on an HP z6100 that I have. But, I am also willing to buy a different printer if that's the better route. I need help because the timeline I am on is cutting short the testing and R&D time I would prefer.

I found many sources of info on the internet about doing this with Epson but we need top do it with our new z6100's 60 inch. Also finding most substrates are not avail in 60 inch. We made some fair positives but have spray around edges, a little softer than we want. Also density of black needs work.

Hoping I can get some help, input, direction for a pro here. Thanks in advance and any info or reference is really helpful.

have you ever thought of buying some backlit fim that is used in the wide format printers? i am sure that would work.

I think he might have this solved. I have to talk to him next week, but I sent him a film that should work with the HP Z6100. Just waiting on his response.
