i have a customer wanting a print the full size of the hoody over the pocket and all.any ideas how to avoid ink blobs at the seam?maybe waterbase or discharge?
i think the customeris requesting 50/50 hoods too!
Good luck. When someone asks me to do something like that, I ask if they have seen it on a garment before (and they haven't). I'm a screen printer, not Superman.

If I were trying to print over a seam that pronounced, I would stop about half a centimetre before the seam and continue 1/2 cm after it.
It probably depends on if that would work with your specific design,
It may look even cooler with the seam acting as a sort of breaker to the design, like those artworks you see which are in two or three seperate frames alongside.
One thing I would say however is printing over a thickish seam is only ever going to look wack and DIY ( In my opinion anyway).
They may work easier than direct hitting, but it would still be tough. I think alot of customers don't realize that these types of garments require alot more than just snapping your fingers and bam, it's done.
Plus alot of the all over prints you see mass market (and even in some boutique setups) is printed before it's seamed together.
