Default MDF Platens

Hi all, im new to the forums and had a question. I made a bunch of platens out of MDF and ran some fleece hoodies on them but the fleece just keep building up on the platen. Is there some sort of protective film that should be applied to the MDF to prevent this from happening? Thanks for your help.

fleece build up is normal, after printing about a hundred sweatshirts, I got enough fleece off the shirtboards to make a new sweatshirt - lol

Not sure what the surface of MDF boards are but most shirtboards are made with a melamine surface - they are very easy to clean with mineral spirits.

Would traditional pallet tape work for you? This way after the build up is to much, you peel the tape off and put a new layer down. Not sure if it would stick to your MDF pallets though since I am not familar with them. Might be something to consider.

get in touch with a sign shop and order some transfer tape. we use this tape all the time and after it is built up, pull it off and put some new one on it......it is about 50.00 a roll, and a roll wil last you a long time.
