ive been looking around to find the best solution to starting up my tshirt
business
heres the question
when you want to make plastisol transfers is there a maximum of colors
you can use so far ive seen some with 7 ill need like 9 or 10
for my project is that possible
i think once you start going beyond 5-6-7 colors and you need a fair amount of plastisol transfers done, going with 4-color process plastisol transfers may be a better way.
you might be right after looking my designs through i think i can make it with 6-7 colours i know ink transfer is a possibility but it is not washable in the same way right ?????

An inkjet transfer will fade after washing and can only be done on very light colored shirts (white is best).
I designed a run of transfers last year for an event.
We did 500 A3+ transfers that were 9 colours each. (10 if you include the backing glue).
We specifically chose transfers due to the number of colours you can use, and also the fact that in large quantities, small designs are cheaper when run this way. (compared to screen printing)
Ive never ordered from F&M Expressions - HOME, but I have receive some samples of their FREEDOM TRANSFERS and I think they look great. You can have almost an unlimited amount of colors at a competitive price. I think they are a lot better than an inkjet transfer.

Yeah, In Rodney's review of plastisol transfers in the transfer forum he has a picture of an F&M 9 or 10 color transfer. Supposedly the price for 3+ colors is the same no matter how many colors you have.
Also, just had a quick look, and I think it would be pretty easy for you to cut down on the colours, without compromising the design. The 4 browns could be combined to ~2 and the 2 golds/yellows could be combined also.
Check out F&M Expressions. You pay the same price for 3 or more colors and they have low minimum orders (as low as 8 sheets).
Keep a close eye on your price points. You can usually go up to the next price point (get more transfers) and only pay slightly more or nothing more in overall price.
