Default silk screen machines

Ok so me and a friend are starting our own clothing company and have decided on how many stations that we need and how many colors that we want to do on our clothing but the only problem that we are having is who makes a good machine? I live in Southern California and am willing to travel to see the manufacturer(s). I believe we were looking at an 8 station/8 color manual silk screen machine. Let me know who makes the best equipment also let me know if there is anything else out there that would be more beneficial or is better suited for the industry. Thanks!

Hello ,wow you are going to have some tired arms, just kidding, Hopkins is the best out there . I have 20 years experience printing and for manuals Hopkins are top of the line and worth every penny. you will also want to consider if you want micro adjustments on your press. If you plan on doing 8 color designs I would recommend them. 5 years from now you will be glad you bought it . good luck and dont take my word for it , ask around and go look at different ones to see what you like. good luck and happy printing. you will also need a flash cure unit.

Spend some time reading through these forums. Many other people have asked the same question. You can learn a lot by reading, and then will be able to ask more specific questions.

Asking what kind of press to get is like asking what kind of car to get. Everybody's going to have their own opinions. See if you can narrow down your search and then ask some more specific questions about the machines you are looking at.

I have a Riley Hopkins 6/4 and I like it. But it's basically a starter model. There's a huge price range you are looking at. So your options will depend greatly on how much you have to spend.

I just purchased a 4/4 Riley Hopkins press online tonight. Will be posting my experience with experimenting, because like you, i'm new to screen printing.
