Default Can anybody answer about printing station?

Hello all, first I want to thank everyone who has answered my past questions. Everyone has been very insightfull and helped make my process in this screen printing world so much smoother. The question I have for you guys out there is that I put together a kind of "ghetto" rig out my house for making shirts. The screens and designs came out well, but when I've gone to print shirts, only about 3 of ten come out looking alright. I've been clamping the screen down on a table and eyeballing the placement of the shirt. My problem has been that some of the shirts look good, some get to little ink, and some get to much. My shirts aren't held down by anything, so they have a tendency to lift off the table under the screen with the ink. It's also been hard to make sure the screen is lifted off the shirt at the right height. I just bought a nice 4 color 1 station screen printing rig, and I'm wondering if this will make this process go better. I'm still waiting for it in the mail, but I'm wondering if you guys can tell me if this will make the prints come out much better?

You should. Make sure you use spray tack on your palettes. This will help to hold the shirt on the palette when lifting the screen/ after printing and the screen popping up.

The press is a good start and you should have the ability to set off contact which will help with your prints as well.

Awesome! Thank you so much for the quick response! I just spent a pretty penny on this thing and I just hope that it makes a big bit of difference. Oh, and I did get the adhesive spray, too. I think that my problem before has been trying to gage the height of the screen off the shirt, keeping the shirt stationary, and having the bulk of the backside of the shirt on the table and under the screen.
