Default Using Inkjet Film

Hi. I have purchased an Epson R1800 and FastRip Classic and just printed my first film. (note: After being a bean counter for 30 years I am 100% totally new to this business) However, when I did a test run in my heat press the ink did not transfer to the tee shirt. All I got was a rolled up transfer. What did I do wrong? Any idea? I was careful to print on the coated side of the film, so that's not the problem. Could it be the time and temp setting? We ran the temp all the way up to 390 for 1 minute and nothing happened.

I also purchased sublimation printing equipment to do both ceramic tile and shirts. So far I am doing great on that. If anyone gave me any help or tips I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks a million!

Lisa

Are you printing on transparency film? If you want to heat press an image on a shirt, you need to use transfer paper. You would use transparency film if you wanted to make a screen positive to burn a screen.

I think I may have just won the "stupid question" contest. I wasn't kidding when I said I was new to printing, but I think I got things figured out now.

Thanks for your replies!
