As far as i understand, choosing the right emulsion from the start will prevent breakdown problems... i use Ulano QTX and they claim it is formulated for water-based inks.
since water based air-cures it's a good idea to print fast and efficient, right from the first print.
a lot of people use a spray bottle of water to keep the ink moist on longer runs.
and since it's water based it cleans up with water... if it dries, maybe you can touch it up with a wet cloth or just clean the ink out and take it right to the sprayer. hope this helps...
