I am new to screen printing and want to stop cutting my images on Ruby film. I would like to print them. I am unsure of what printer and other supplies I need. I don't what to spend more that 500 or 600 less if possible. Not sure how much screen printing business I will have. I am a vinyl shop for the most part.
Thank for the help
Phil

Re: I want to stop cutting positives for my screen's
after doing many hours of research I found that the epson R1800 is a good starting point. My main question is RIP Program yes or no. I have read many threads on different forum's with conflicting ideas. Any help would be great.

Just curious, are you hand cutting or using the plotter for that?

I have not done ruby lifts since the late 80's! That's old school!
That is the way some other guy told me to do it. As far as I can see I can cut and press 1 or 2 color business type logo's just as fast with heat transfer stuff. I guess speed comes with time.
Re: I want to stop cutting positives for my screen's
when i worked at my dad's shop, we'd cut regular vinyl and apply it to acetate, we buy it at a local art supply house. works fine for most stuff, easier to weed than ruby.
