How do you get the print in the same place on each t-shirt/hoodie etc?

here is a video of a guy loading tees and briefly discussing placement:
YouTube - Screen printing production printing video 4

unfortunately there's no "to the sixteenth inch" rule on loading garments. you can use the arm seams to judge side to side and then the collar for top to bottom. a lot of people make a mark on their masked platen to remind them where to bring the collar for specific runs after they have decided on initial placement.

pre-press work is also playing a key role here. make sure the image you are burning is on the right spot on the screen. this will alleviate headache after headache, particularly with multi-color jobs. i use a measuring tape, some people prefer to build a jig...

which is something you can also do on-press for specific applications like printing a small bag or a raised jig for a zip up hood, etc, etc...

and i for some reason just posted under some bizarre assumption that you have a setup exactly like mine. how are you printing?

is your screen on a hinged clamp, where it won't move every print?
