Default Screen Printed Transfers

I would like to have a few of my designs put onto transfer so that I can keep a stock in at all times without having to have them screen printed.
I have looked into transfers and general feedback has been to go for a digital lithographic print, this would get the quality out really well. My only concern is that the digital transfers are a little hard to the touch, not much better than my own sublimation made transfers.
I think what I really need is screen printed transfers but I can't find many companies in the UK that do this.
Airwaves in the US do exactly what I need but by the time I've paid import tax/shipping etc. I may as well have just gone and had them all screen printed.
Does anyone know of a good UK company that specialises in screen print transfers?
The designs in mind are vector based, most have gradients/shading etc. but I am prepared to sacrifice this to solid/flat colours if it makes the process easier.
Any advice greatly appreciated!
Justin

Default Re: Screen Printed Transfers

Hi mate
Whats wrong with the printers who I have put you on to?
All three are very well respected printers that screen print transfers.
I would say they are the leading three in the u.k.
All provide a quality product

One other company would be Imagine tranfers.
www.imagine-transfers.co.uk

Why look to go overseas?
U.K. printers are having a hard time of it and need supporting.

Smile Re: Screen Printed Transfers

Hi phil (fizz),

Please can you post the three printers again as i got a bit bogged down trying to find them on the above persons post...

I too, would like to know who can screenprint onto (hopefully) duracotton release paper..or any other you would advise...

Also may I ask, how many colours would a colour photo of say a brickwall or meadow, consist of?.. Would it be full colour or could it be less? (Sorry if this sounds dumb)!!

Many thanks m8!

Mark.
