Hey everyone,
I am new to this, but I am in charge of printing 50 t shirts for at home for a haunted house business. I have made a stencil and all on a screen, and all i need to do is put the white ink on the black t shirts. But, unfortunately i made a mistake. I bought the Speedball white ink- two 8 ounce bottles, but figured out it was for posters and such. It says not reccomended to be used on fabrics. So instead of returning it, is there an easy way that i can make it work with what i have? Any advice would be great.
Thanks.
I wouldn't risk a paying job by trying to "make" that ink work. Bite the bullet and order some ink for textiles. You'll be glad you did in the long run. Hold onto those inks and try to use them for their proper application.
Good luck,
Ken

Oh of course not- i wouldn't either- but i am actually the co owner of the haunted house, and we are just trying to make some cheap shirts for the cast. You know, low budget and all that- do you think it might work on shirts anyway?
I know that sounds stupid and all but we always try to make due with what we have. Any other suggestions?
Also, would just acrylic paint you can pick up at an art store work?
Re: Ink Mistake -Bought poster ink instead of textile ink
Nope.
Poster inks don't have to be flexible or be washed.
Alas, as they wrote on the container, it's not recommended for fabrics and every quality they built into the ink for posters, would have to be changed into qualities for textile inks.
