Default Rotary Platen-4 Color

Hi....I an looking to purchase a decent semi-pro press. I do small orders and would like to take advantage of my flash dryer I have. I am asking of anyone can recommend a 4 color 2 station (rotation platen) press that will not break the bank (~$1200 or less total). It should be practical for a home based shop. I use a homemade 4-color with 2 stationary platens now and saving for a 4/2 bench model (I have a strong wood bench). There are so many tradeoffs out there. I want mircos too. Anyone with a 4/2 ? Do you like it, hate it, ??? Which brand is it?

I am not into process colors so a 6 color is not too important to me now. Thanks all!

Default Re: Rotary Platen-4 Color

the only four color 2 station press I have ever seen is an inexpensive tabletop model, but the quality might not be the absolute best, and it does not have micro reg.
you can view it here 4 Color 2 Station Table Top Screen Printing Press

another good four color bench model is the riley hopkins. It is well below your budget, but is a single station press. I have used this press and it holds solid registration and is high in quality, for a good price.

The other four color press I would recommend at an affordable price is also manufactured by Hopkins. It is not a bench top model, but it is a solid 4 color with micros and it has four stations which would up your production capabilities. As far as home based use, it is rather large in size... and a little over your budget, but for a four color with micro registration it is about as low in price as you can go unless you can find one used.

good luck...

Thanks. I do like the Big R.H. 4/4production unit. The price is good. I am looking at Antec Dynamic and Lawson 4/2. For a 4/2 bench, they are about the same price as the RH 4/4 and I like the RH joystick, but not sure how good that will work vs. the x,y axis type. Plus I would need 10 x 10 sq ft space or so. Thanks
