Lightbulb Reproduction recomendations

This is my first day on the forums and I need some help.

I am from the world of ink on paper and I need some recomendations from people in the world of screenprinting. The attached logo is an illustrator file I designed for business cards, letterhead, marketing material. etc. The client needs t-shirts but I do not know the best way to get a "chrome" look using screen printing.

The shirts will be a bright gold, no dark colors for now. Could a solid metalic ink be used where the chrome is and then overprint screens of light blue, medium and dark gray? Does anyone have ideas to make this look kick ***? Would heat transfers be better? Simulated process? Should I rasterize the file and use index separations?

I am open to any ideas.

Chrome is reflection, not ... ahh, chrome. In 2 dimensions, you have to fake it.

5 grays and a navy, and the only gold reflection I have.

All the Web 2.0 shiny buttons, reflect the source of light, or whatever would be in the reflection.

In the 1980's, it was a style to have a 'chrome' look, and the sky was reflected in the top of a bumper or something - like your design. Easy to do on white, but much harder on darks or colors. Is the gold part of the look? Since the shirt is gold, you will have to supply 100% of the ink, including white, which makes a poor design for a gold shirt. My gold button design would be easier to print than your black and white design.

You have the web 2.0 shine. Is it a printer you need?

I would print at least

white UB
Med Gray
Bluish gray (hard to tell from the image)
Black
Highlight White.

Might look better with another gray yet hard to say from the small image

Top it off with a Clear or HD Gel for a shiny look

Sorry for my ignorance, what is the difference in White UB and the Highlight White. Does the White UB have to be completely covered by another ink? I would like to have a Blueish Gray and maybe a Goldish Tan color. I want some hints of other colors so it's not all gray.

Thanks for the Clear or HD Gel advice!

white UB for the bluish colors. The highlight white will make the white and highlights pop on the dark shirt as well as keeping the hand to the print less thick than a print flash print on the underbase white

Its hard to tell with the small image yet would mainly consist of halfotnes on all plates
