Ok so I'm new to all of this and have been doing a lot of research on the business. I've been looking into getting my first press and stumbled across this ad in my local classifieds:

"I have a Harco manual 4 color 1 station press for sale with adult, children's and sleeve platens, used screens and squeegees. $500"

I emailed the seller and she told me that she used the press as a hobby some 10-15 years ago and it did not have many hours on it.

Is this something I want to look into or just junk???

I had the same problem last week, when someone proposed me a rototex.
It was 15 years old, and the palets needs to be changed, the registrtion was not perfect.

The only advice I have been given from a friend : it is like an old car, it depends of the driver and how he use it... anyway, don't buy without seeing it.

agree 100%. I would check it out first. If you cannot you might wait until you find one you can as you never know what your getting.
