Default Epson 3000 good or bad?

I need a printer to print off my transparencies because I am sick of running to Kinkos all the time. By this time I probably could have paid off a new printer and the Fast Rip software with the money I am throwing at Kinkos.

My question is, I have found a guy selling his Epson 3000 printer along with Fast Rip software and a bunch of unopened ink cartridges for around $300. Is this a good deal? Is this a decent printer to print my transparencies? He says everything is in working condition with no maintenance issues other than the ink heads clogging from not being used, is there anything else I should be looking at or asking? Thanks.

$300 sounds like a steal. The rip alone should be worth more.
Do a forums search for epson 3000 to see more related info

The 3000 is a very old and slow model but that doesn't mean it won't be sufficient for your needs.

The RIP and cartridges are worth the 300.

the 3000 works great. google for a service manual, they're out there, and if the heads are clogging pull them out and clean them. Simply soaking them in a shallow plate of HOT water will unclog them and it'll be good to go.
