Re: Printed examples needed My setup is pretty crude compared to what you are mentioning, however, I have done some tests with the 200+ mesh counts that I have with modest results.
I am fairly proficient with photoshop. My exposure system is a dual 500watt halogen (for a total of 1000watt) mounted directly over my table at almost precisely 22". I use foam covered with black felt under the screen and 1/4" plate glass over the screen. The lights are on a gra-lab timer. I am using Kimodesk 11x17 laser vellum as well. The safety glass is removed from the lights, and small 6" personal fan is also placed strategically to help dissipate heat.
With all that said (sorry for being so detailed - but was hoping it would help)... I have successfully turned out halftones/gradients with ease. Its not the quickest way of burning a screen I know - but for the time being, its working.
If I jump to the 305 or higher mesh to work with process, I assume that I would begin experiencing problems with exposure???
Sorry for jumping from the initial topic - |
