'pastel' colors with plastisol I have a few shirts in which I would like to reproduce similar types of colors as the print on the shirt. I do believe the shirts I have were printed with water based inks, so this effect might not be possible with plastisol, but I wanted to see if anybody knew any better...?
The colors on the shirt are a lighter "pastel" color, almost the effect you would get in a color if you turned the opacity down to about 70% in photoshop. The result is a lighter less bold color which works well in somewhat vintage or mellow colored print.
If anybody knows how to get this type of color please explain. I am thinking a hefty amount of curable reducer might help, or is there a clear additive you can add that "thins" the color? And how much reducer can be added before it affects the cure properties?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!! |
