Default Epson printer R1800 or R2400?

HI ,

I'm looking to buy a inkjet printer for my screen printing business. What is the best way for me between Epson R1800 and R2400 to create a positive film quality? Is the R2400 really superior to the other model for what i want to do? Thanks for your help!

The R1800 along with a rip will work just fine for printing positives.

The R1800 should be fine - you don't care about the minor differences in color handling because you'll always be printing black.

If you're going to do process color or halftones, you'll need to also get a RIP software.

I use an Epson 1200 inkjet works great! Here's a tip that will save you hundreds of dollars. Use bond paper for creating film. Bond paper is used by graphic designers for marker comps comes in pads many sizes available and it shoots amazing onto your screen! You're welcome!
