Re: help! can't find a screenprinter who prints larger than 11x17
k, now im frustrated cause people looked at me like i was crazy asking for a 16 by 18 print ( not a full print but a big space in between, with two parts of the deign far apart) and now you say its the industry standard... i dont get whats going on.
Re: help! can't find a screenprinter who prints larger than 11x17
a 16" x 18" print is pretty large. Most printers aren't set up to print that large.
We usually only go 13" wide max. Although, it's possible for us to go wider, we just don't have the squegees, pallets, screens and scoop coaters to print that wide yet.

Hmmm, the small 20" X 24" screens most shops use have an effective print area of 15" X 18", and there are inexpensive 18" X 18" flash units available. Logos has one for $320. So I'm surprised that a commercial shop would only be able to do 11 x 17. Even for printing the films, an epson r1800 can be had for less than $500 us, and will print up to 13" wide. I guess their pallets might be an issue, but we make our own so maybe it's a bigger issue to other shops.
We're a small shop, and we can screen print up to 18" X 25" without a belt printer.
