I've heard that in order to print on dark colors, one should print the design in white and then follow up with the color of choice. However, for some designs that is just impossible.
I would like to print white or yellow on navy blue...but it always comes out faded. I'm nervous about letting it dry and then trying it again because of smudging and overlap.
How on earth do you print on dark colors! Also, we have your basic printing press set up....so we don't have any fancy equipment.
Are you printing just one time with no flash cure? If so you will need to get a flash cure unit. Then you can print - flash cure that print - then print again. If you only print one time on darks you will never get enough coverage.
Good luck,
Ken

snoboreders- If your budget is too constrained to get a flash cure unit, you can use a heat gun to dry the ink before you do another layer. that's what I did at first. I assume you're using water-based ink...
We actually bought a flash cure unit....money well spent, let me tell you. Right now my brother insists on the the plasticol inks (is that what they are called)? I heard the water-based inks fade too quickly.
