Just my opinion, Do buy an epson wide format (at least 13 inches wide, you won't regret it), don't buy a hp or other multi-use brands....

Does it need to be a laser, laserjet, inkjet, or will any of these work? Thanks

try a forums search for printers. Search Epson and Xante. You'll get a ton of info to the pros and cos of both the inkjet and laser printers

Inkjet uses more ink in the long run, but usually comes out darker than a laser in general. We have both laser and inkjet, but we use the epson inkjet for our films.
