Has anyone done oversized t-shirt screen printing using a sign platen (20" x 26")?
...Sort of I searched and did not see anything so here it goes...
I want to print a couple designs that I wouldn't call "all over" but will say the one goes from the shoulder blades to close to the bottom seam (ladies shirt) and the other goes from the bottom seam to the chest area...I am attempting this on a one color table top. Has anyone done this using a sign platen (20" x 26")? I am about to order one but wasn't sure if any problems arise, i.e. the shirts not stretching over the plate or stretching too much & effecting the final print (on the girls tee). Any help, opinions, advise is greatly appreciated!!!
Yeah it all looks good on paper, I like to over analyze things...And wondered if anyone does this???
I edited your topic title a bit so people that may have done it will be more likely to know the exact question you're asking instead of just skipping it thinking it was just "another all over print question" that had been answered previously

i tile the sheets together. i use vellum-type film, so i have to be careful about overlaps or they want to burn in the screen. i use clear (not the cloudy kind) scotch tape to hold them together.
