I ordered my first set of screenprinted shirts for my line Ive been starting. I relabeled them with all of my new tags also. I went to pick them up today and they screenprinted my backs of my shirts upside down!!! So Im out of those 20 custom labeled shirts now. The screenprinter was trying to talk me into sayings I could still sell those shirts. They didnt charge me for that set, and they said they would do my fixes for free also. I feel that is ok but Im out of 20 shirts when I only have about 45 in that color. So I had to drop off another 20 shirts. I only have a few whites left. I feel like Im losing more than what Im getting back. I dont know. Now I cant do my second design because I had to use all my shirts to replace my first set. I was so excited about today and now its just turned bad. Also it took about a month to get my shirts completed from them and they dont look very good because the print isnt solid. There are spots in the shirt where the ink didnt even go through.
The printer was good in reprinting for free. What they should have done is replaced the shirts and offered a discount on the printing of the replacements.
Reprinting for free doesn't cover the cost of the goods that were ruined.
Our policy if we mess up customer supplied shirts is
#1 let the customer know ASAP. If the order can be processed withthe loss shirts we discount to order @ the cost of the messed up shirts.
#2 if the shirts are needed we
A - replace them
B- have the customer replace them and supply us with a invoice that we deduct form the final bill.
Give them a call and see if you can get one of these options. Seems they are trying to somewhat fix their mistake

I think im just gonna get my shirts finished and replaced for free and then just find a new screenprinter. Its something I learned from and I just went ahead and bought more shirts for my second design.
unfortunately we are all human and make mistakes. It is how we address these mistakes which makes us a better company/person. They did offer to fix the issue. All you need is to let them know you feel your still at a larger loss than their offer is. maybe they will offer more. Seems a lil harsh over one issue yet if you feel you need to go elsewhere maybe that is best.
How bad is it? Is their text on it? Is it real noticable? Can you sell them as cut tags or blemishes (at a discount) or give them as freebies to help get you name out...I'll take an XL
I may go back to them but my father has also had issues with them a few years ago, i didnt even know he used them until the other day, when he was starting another business, its not so much the screenprint but also the customer service, I never get call backs at all, no proofs and the quality of the print isn't so good. I will still use them for some work but not most of my work. I understand about the mistakes, I have worked in a graphics and sign shop and yes mistakes happen all the time.

It sounds like they are a bunch of amateurs and you are either too nice or really forgiving. I tend to go with the 3 strikes rule. It looks to me like there are three strikes in your one statement above.
