Please help me. I seem to have some difficulty whenever I make my own screen (w/ frame ofcourse).
What I do is, I cut the screen(mesh) to an inch bigger than the size of my frame. I wet the screen then I staplethe first side starting in the middle, then the middle of the opposite side, and so on.
I'm pulling the little excess screen against the frame for tension and at the same time, trying to put the stapler to the spot that will hold the screen on the frame. I keep doing this until it's completed.
There must have been another easier and effective way to do it. can anyone suggest please. steps with illustrations or photos will be appreciated too.
Essentially the way you are meshing is the correct way. The only other option that I know of is to buy a rotter frame larger than the frames your meshing. Mesh and tension this roller frame. Lay over a wooden or aluminum frame and glue. When the glue is dry, cut out the excess mesh and there is your meshed frame. Repeate for multiple frames
yup id rather buy but here in our location, they only sell screens with lower mesh count. not very good for the designs that i have, which has a lot of details. that is why im creating my own out of 110 and 200 mesh.
If your designs are needing quality screens you ought to save your self the hassle and purchase some and have them shipped to you. Will be well worth it in the long run.
If you do and stick with static frames, make sure you get aluminum frames and not wooden. Over time the wooden frames will warp rendering your screens virtually useless
thats a bigger bullet to bite and a hefty learning curve at first and dont forget very time consuming to keep up especially if done properly. Of couurse you cannot get any better than retens.

Get it online. Not much cheaper to make at home....
