Post Printing first run

i am about to send my first couple of designs to the screen printer, and in order to keep the costs down I will probably have to go with one screen prints. I believe the design will look a lot better with 2 or 3 screens, but then the cost goes up. Do you think I am doing the right thing by playing it same and going with 1 color screen and seeing if the designs sell, or should I go all out and get them printed the way I would like to see them?

simple designs sell and some do not. I would say its a gamble yet since money is an issue you might start off small with the one color. Tough Call.

No. Don't get me wrong, I love one colour prints. But if the design would look "a lot better" as a two or three colour print, it should be a two or three colour print. It's all well and good to keep costs down to save money when starting up, but if you sacrifice the quality of the product you're a lot less likely to get a return on your investment.
