Cool bad Image tiling from lazer printer

I am having a lot of trouble with my Images tiling

when I print out an image the pages do not line up
it is like as if one page has been made bigger

we do allot of logo larger than the 8.5 x 11 pages
and I cant do any logos multi colors unless i have a
heavy trap overlap

It is driving me nuts that my Image are not becoming
what I have designed

I use a:
brothers 2040 lazer Printer
and
lazer transparency

I will not change to velum I like to have lot of detail in
my designs

Please Help

Tom

This is due to the laser printer. The printer uses heat to fuse the toner. Each film will be slightly different due to the heat shrinking the paper medium. Unfortunately there really isnt much you can do.

Run your paper/vellum through your shirt dryer to preshrink.
Run through the printer to preshrink.

Use an outside source for larger film output.

I used to tile from a small laser printer as well. The positives will always shrink, but what I found helped was waiting for the printer to cool down between prints, or running a few prints through before I did my positives and then doing them all at once. Just make sure the printer is at the same temperature when you do all of them. Won't be perfect, but it might help.
