Default Printa 770

Hello.

This is my first post.

My brother and I have been looking at getting a screen printing machine to put his designs onto t-shirts.

The Printa System keeps on coming up in our searches, but I've done some research on this forum and they don't seem to have a good rep.

Are there any particular reasons for this? I know they are pricey.

Any help would be appreiciated.

Joe

Try Silk Screening Supplies .com, screen printing equipment, silk screen printing kits They have low end to higher end machines. I bought mine from them...they were helpful...solid machine. I like it.
Good luck!

Smile Re: Printa 770

Hi Joe Welcome to the forum,
I have a Printa 770 which i find very easy to use and i havn't had any problems with it as a machine, i opted for this as floor space was a premium and figured with the exposure unit and flash cure unit all in one it would suit my need's , but in hindsight i would look for something more generic, as everything with the printa is expensive as i am in ireland i have to import my screen's from the uk at a cost of €50 per screen also if you dont use the printa products (which you wont because they are to expensive) it will take a lot of trial and error figuring out the process so as to provide a quality product. I hope your not to disheartened and the best of luck in your future

Cheers,

I'm based in the UK, not too far away from Dalesway who import the Printa stuff and space is at a premium, we'll be using a one car garage.

I've been on the Silk Screening Supplies web site, do they export to the UK? Has anyone done this?

Talking Re: Printa 770

Hello again
It could be worth your while to read the book "printing t-shirts for fun and profit" it has plan's on how to make a wooden 4 color screen printing press i wish i had read it before i had started to shell out money, also it might be an option to talk to target transfers(i havnt used them yet but will soon i hope) http://www.targettransfers.com/ in the uk who will print plastisol transfers of your designs for you to use a heatpress to transfer them to t-shirts. if your only doing your own design's for sale i would look into the transfer's check out the forum here very good nearly as good as this one ha ha
